you know why? becuz he put f/cken great effort in his role, the whole movie he pushed his jaw to the front and bend both his lips downwards to get that grimace. his facial expression trough the whole movie was excellent. i mean did you SEE that scene with the chainsaw. (better then the: So you wanna play scene XD) i cant believe that some people still think Scarface is overrated. this movie was way ahead of his time, thats how great it is.

Donnie Brasco was imo not his best movie, it was one of Johnny Depp's best. but definately not Al Pacino's

i think his best performances were:
1. Scarface/Heat
2. Scent of a Woman
3. S1m0ne

well mainly cos that was one of his first Movie Gig ever (Actually it was his second, his first was another movie [Forgot what it was but De niro took over him for that other movie]) and even thou it was his "First" movie gig he carried his own with a stellar cast (At That Time) With Marlon Brando, James Caan & Robert Duvall. and to some extend he even out shown all of them, especially in the garden scene, When Vito talked to Micheal for the very last time before he passed. its more about his expressions in the movie rather then his lines really. but everyone has their own opinion lol heres my 3 best performances imo

1. The Godfather 1 & 2
2. Serpico
3. Donnie Brasco/ Scarface
