If would go for the desktop if you don't travel much. But out of those choices I would go with this one: -
Dell Studio 17 Laptop specs: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache) Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3650 (video card) 320GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) Just because of the extra hard drive. The other features are pretty much the same.

Extra HD is useless tbh. If you really want extra/secure stuff, Split your HD's space. Can be used on any HD, most of the time it does 50-50, but I know theres programs that give more options. Either way, I agree with the people who said Dell Sucks. Dell over-prices pieces of crap.

2.2 GHZ processor? Damn Talk about low-key...
Most Laptops have 2.5+ and Most computers have 2.7+ If you want to do real things with your computer, go with an at least 2.5 processor.

if dell sucks that badly than what other computers would any of you reccomend that is about 1300 or lower and is a good computer for gaming(desktop or laptops)

For gaming purposes i would suggest getting a custom built PC, They are more reliable then factory made PC's due to the fact you won't void any warrantee's if you were to upgrade your PC. Also custom PC's are cheaper then store bought one (this does depend on the component's you have installed) i bought mine for $1200 AUS (About 800-900 USD i think).

HP For gaming? May as well go dell at that point, lol
Custom built is the way to go. I would recommend buying the parts yourself and self-building if you know how to, you will easily save cash on it and have a better understanding of the computer as a whole. If you can't build it yourself, then go buy a custom built on as possed said. The prices for the other dells weren't that bad, but overall dell is a no for gaming. As well as Laptops, its much, much better to go for a custom-built pc.

Anyway, I just trust the HP brand. Their products are reliable, even Compaq (which I have now). Sony is good too. narutoXtsunade, are you going to play PC games on it?
